Tom began running at age 7 joining his local club, Ramsey Road Runners where he developed quickly and moved to his current club, Huntingdonshire AC in 2017.

In 2023 Tom won both the U17 National indoor and outdoor titles over 800m. He placed 5th at the European U18 Championships in 2024 and improved further in 2025, winning a silver medal at the European U20 Championships and a bronze medal at both indoor and outdoor National Championships.

With a PB of 1:46.73 Tom is ranked as the thrid fastest 17 year old in British history over 800m.

He is coached by Derek Darnell and Kyle Bennett whilst studying at Loughborough University.
