Sam is a 2 x Olympic Bronze medalist - winning his first medal in the 4x400m mixed relay team in Paris. One week later he won his second bronze medal in the 4x400m men's relay.

Sam aged just 20 ran 44.70 for the 400m, winning the National 400m race at the London Diamond league (2024).

He won his first UKA indoor title over 400m in 2023 and is a unique talent having also run under 1.46 for 800m (2024).

He is coached by Nigel Stickings at the Blackheath and Bromley club, and when competing internationally he races for adidas.
