Ava Lloyd

Ava is a talented middle-distance runner who has been coached by Trevor Painter since the age of 12.
In 2019 she achieved an unexpected 2nd place in the 800m at the English Schools Championships which fulled her motivation to succeed further. This resulted in her proudly representing GB in Madrid and at the European Junior Championships in 2023.
In 2024 Ava was focused on improving her PB's over 800m and 1500m. She was successful over the indoor season winning her first national title in the U20 800m and set two back to back personal bests in the heats and finals of the British Senior Championships over 1500m.
Her spot at the World Junior Championships in Peru (2024) was secured after a winning performance at the Alexander Stadium in the July.
In 2025 Ava made her senior GB debut at the European Indoor Championships over 1500m in Apledoorn before going on to make the final of the summer European U23 Championships. She set a new PB over both 1500m (4.06) and 800m (2.02).
In September 2024, she joined Manchester University to study English Literature whilst continuing with her commitment to athletics.
