Ethan is a skillful all-round cricketer from Port Elizabeth in South Africa's Eastern Province. A right arm medium/fast seamer and a hard-hitting right-hander that can bat anywhere in the middle order. Schooled at Pearson High School, he was a standout performer for the school and a regular in the Eastern Province age group sides throughout his teens.

At 15 Ethan played Club Cricket for Glevandale CC, featuring in the 1st X1 whilst concurrently becoming one of the youngest players to represent Pearson High School's 1st X1. He stood out for Eastern Province through each age group and in 2018 at age 16 was selected for EP U19 side to contest the 2018-2019 Khaya Majola Coke Week. There he was picked for the Warriors Cubs side for the following couple of seasons. Ethan has been a regullar in the Eastern Province Colts side and has picked up four First Class matches.
