Persy's incredible achievements in race walking since 2016 see him holding a unique position for Sweden in the sport.

He has become the first Swedish race walker to win a medal at the World Championships (2019) and the first Swedish athletics athlete to win more than one medal at the same World Championships (2022).

By setting a Swedish record in 2016 he qualified for his first Olympic Games in Rio. He also competed at the Tokyo Olympic Games where he finished 9th.

At the beginning of his career and before success Persy had to overcome some difficult personal setbacks which fuelled his strength, passion and ability for racing. Combining those attributes with an infectious zest for life are sure to see him on the podium for many years to come.
