Rowing

Born in Northern Ireland, Hannah has cemented her place in history as the first female athlete from Northern Ireland to win an Olympic gold medal in 52 years.

Her rowing journey began at Bann Rowing Club in Coleraine when she was 13 years old. Rising quickly through the ranks she secured five national titles and eight silver medals at the Irish Rowing Championships.

Pursuing both academic and athletic excellence. Hannah attended Princeton University in the US. She captained the Princeton women's crew - leading the team to two Ivy League Championships in the Varsity Eight. Her international pedigree was further strengthened with two silver medals at the U23 World Championships, establishing herself as one of the brightest talents in British rowing. Hannah made history as the youngest member of the GB rowing team in Tokyo 2020.

Hannah is an Olympic, World and European champion in the wonen's quadruple sculls. After claiming gold at the 2023 World Championships in Belgrade and the 2024 European Championships in Szeged, she capped it all with a gold medal performance for GB in Paris 2024.

For her contribution to rowing and her impact on women's sport, Hannah was appointed MBE in the 2025 New Year Honours.
