Non Stanford

Triathlon Coach

Non started her athletic career as a successful track and cross-country runner before changing her focus due to injury whilst at Birmingham University, where she joined the Triathlon club. After graduating in Sport and Exercise Sciences, Non moved to Leeds and in 2012 was crowned World U23 Champion. She went one better in 2013, winning the World Series Grand Final in London to become ITU World Champion. A regular on the podium in the years leading into Rio 2016, Non missed out in a sprint finish with a good friend and Team GB compatriot Vicky Holland, to finish 4th. 2022 saw Non complete her triathlon career bringing home Silver for Wales in the Mixed Relay at the Commonwealth Games and taking victory at the European Triathlon Championships. She has now accepted a coaching role at British Triathlon which follows her retirement from the sport.
