Carys McAulay

Track and Field

Carys Started running age 9 and quickly became successful, racing for Warrington Athletics club in cross country and on the track. She lived in the US as a teenager, where she competed across the states in cross country, 400m and 800m for her school's varsity team. Back in the UK, she had her first GB vest at the age of 17 for the 800m at the World U20 champs in Columbia 2015 (where she achieved 4th place) and went on to represent her country again at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa where she won a silver medal in the 800m.

After a break from running whilst at University, Carys got back into training in 2021 and achieved her first senior vest in the 4x400 at the European Indoor Championships in Istanbul 2023.

She now lives and trains in Manchester.
